I’ve been blessed to have a mom who encouraged my passion to create. When I was little I didn’t have a lemonade stand, I had ‘ZoeysFabulousCreations.’ This business I created as a kid wasn’t very successful, but it gave me a new confidence in my abilities. At bazars I’d trade the adults, switching my creations for their baked goodies. I analyzed what sold and adjusted to it, unknowingly using vital business strategies. My mom also would loan me money for supplies and I kept a log of expenses to calculate my profit or loss. At a young age, I grew myself to build my brand and stretch myself.
I struggled with imposter syndrome once I joined the internet. There are so many lovely artists and I was just a kid trying my best. After a long break from my creations, I am back. I am no longer Zoey’sFabulousCreations, but MotivatedMeishka- an art business led by the untamable passion to create. I may not be the best artist out there, but I am here and ready to grow.
